TRANSFORMED MODEL
The actions I took were elevation and spliting.
The first thing I did was to put the roof upside down then added two wings to the roof to use the roof as floor. Then I put the two separated building onto the two wings. This part was the part being elevated.
The space underneath the elevated part becomes a pool and being enclosed with a polygon for landscaping.
For the elevated part, I built a supporting system using tension only to hold the structure up.
The basic structure is a balsa and cardboard frame and wire as tension member.
This shows the circulation of the model as well as the landscape.
This is a little logo of the building which is abstracted from the tension frame. and the third part of the house become a part of the landscape.
FOLIO
The final submission is a folio that we did for presenting our individual works collectively. The strategy of assembling all the drawings would be very important, since it was all about communication.
My folio was a container that was able to allow drawings(which were fixed onto bases) to slide out and in. It also had a mechanism that if the last (on the lowest level) drawing keep going out it will pull the upper drawings out sequentially, as the last picture shows.
This picture shows the cover of the box which has my basic information as well as abstractions of the drawings contained inside.
this picture shows the mechanism components. The two bars attached on each drawing base stuck the other two on the next base, then it forces that base to come out.

This is a drawing done by translating a spatial description stated by one of the group members. The description is about how the space goes into endless and have gaps inbetween.
---TEAM WORK---
This collage effectively connects four drawings together to form an organic image of a city.
We also used tonal gradient to put a contrast to its building components and transportation components.
FINAL PRESENTATION OF THE ATLAS



It can be folded up as a A5 size book, just like a map.
An imaginary road runs cross every page that realtes seperated workes together. And i also created a little character who is having a journey in the 'Color Kingdom'. He starts with basic theories, then spreads out to different aspects of color theories, and finally becomes a designer.

The ATLAS has been divided into three sections which are indicated as 'cities'. The first city is the 'Black & White City' in which the character learns fundamental theories. For the next city, colorful buildings are seen everywhere, it is a place with almost every visible color being applied to buildings, roads and even plants. In the final city, he learns his own scheme of color and design principles. The whole story is a diary of the designer and also helps organize the sequence of the original drawings.

---THE IMAGINARY CINEMA---

This is actually the first exercise we did. We were asked to draw a space that we loved or were impressed by. The cinema is an imaginary space having 4 sub areas for playing four different kinds of movies, based on the color scheme of that space.





The five drawings were done with Gouache and color pencils. They showed how Balance, Contrast,Harmony and rhythm work as design properties on building facades.

The drawings presented above dedicat to the theory of tonal contrast and harmony. They basically are building facade decorated by colors and simply black and white in different combination of tones.
--49 VEIL EXERCISE--

This is a piece of design for the window of our classroom. The texture on the window surface looks like a space that extends itself to endless. The color used on the background provide an extreme contrast to each other, which implies the space have been divided into two. However, the texture forces the two isolated spaces into one unique direction which is the endless.
ATLAS OF COLOR
THE MAIN GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP WAS TO MAKE AN ASSEMBLY OF WORKS ASSOCIATED WITH COLOR THEORIES WE HAVE DONE DURING THE FOUR WEEKS SESSION, WHICH IS MEANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION.
WE DRAW IMAGES WITH DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES, SUCH AS WATER COLOR, INK, COLOR PENCIL, ETC. THE DRAWINGS DEDICATED TO A RANGE OF COLOR THEORIES.
AT THE END AN ATLAS WAS TO BE MADE OUT OF THE WORKS DONE PREVIOUSLY. THIS ASKED FOR AN THOUGHT THROUGH HOW THE FINAL ATLAS COULD BE NICELY MADE AN HOW DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES COULD EFFECTIVELY DEDICATE TO ONE COLLECTIVE PURPOSE.
